About Euless

Euless is also home to the Euless Towne Center, one of the largest shopping centers in Texas. The city has a council-manager form of government.The area that would become known as Euless was settled in 1847 by farmers moving west from Kentucky and Tennessee via Washington County, Arkansas into what was then Johnson County (now Tarrant). A community called "Eustace" developed around a stop on the Texas and Pacific Railway between Grapevine and Fort Worth. By 1900, it had grown large enough to be incorporated as a town under its original name; however, when residents applied for post office service they were informed there was already another town named Eustace in Texas so they renamed their community after local resident George Wylie Parker who served on several civic boards including school board.
