Austin Community College is the largest community college in Texas. The city also has a large healthcare and medical sector that includes several hospitals, such as St. David's Medical Center, Seton Healthcare Family (formerly Brackenridge Hospital), University Medical Center Brackenridge (the first hospital in Austin), and multiple clinics and medical offices. Austin–Round Rock is a five-county metropolitan area designated by the Office of Management and Budget covering two counties – Williamson County to the south with 437,000 residents; Travis County to the north with 912,000 residents; Hays County to west with 177,500 residents; Bastrop County along eastern edge of Travis county at 94100 people; plus Blanco county which covers an additional 10600 people for a total population estimate at 1/1/2016 census estimate of 2 million making it one round rock metroplex or greater San Antonio metro area about 80 miles away from downtown Austin .
