About Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre is home to the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, Wilkes University, and Luzerne County Community College. The city has several cultural venues that draw visitors year round; downtown features a vibrant arts district with multiple theaters and performance spaces as well as the historic Wyoming Theater. Other attractions include Fonthill Castle (a Victorian mansion), the Lenape Indian Museum (an interactive museum focused on Native American culture), and Nesbitt Memorial Garden (one of two public gardens in Pennsylvania).
