About Mason
The city is also home to the U.S. National Yo-Yo Museum, housed in a former elementary school building erected in 1923 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Mason is part of Ohio's Mason City School District which includes Mason High School, Kings Elementary School and Westwood Middle School; all three schools are located within one mile (1 km) from each other near downtown Mason along State Route 48 (West Dixie Drive). The district was rated "Excellent" by the Ohio Department of Education for 2010–2011 school year based on student performance and growth measures.
