Asheville is home to the United States National Climatic Data Center, the world's largest active archive of weather data. It is also home to the University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNCA), which has about 10,000 students and an enrollment that tops 14,000 for part-time students; UNC Asheville was ranked as one of "America's Best Colleges" by U.S. News & World Report in 2017 and 2018 . The city has its own typeface: Asheville (designed by Ethel Stoltzfus). The Biltmore House along with Montford Avenue and Battery Park downtown comprise Historic Buncombe County , a National Historic Landmark District established in 1970.[7] In 1984, Asheville hosted over 100 pieces of public art,[8] including sculptures from Jacques Lipchitz[9][10]and Auguste Rodin,[11][12][13] as part of an outdoor sculpture exhibition titled "Outdoor Sculpture Show".
