About East Sandwich

East Sandwich is located in the southeast corner of the town of Sandwich at (41.638365, -70.551330). It is bordered to the north by Cape Cod Bay and to the south by Buzzards Bay, both part of Massachusetts Bay. The northern border follows a power line right-of-way along Old Town Road; other than this section it runs roughly parallel with Route 6A and then U.S. Route 6 as far west as its junction with US 6A in Falmouth Neck State Park near Pocasset Harbor on Buzzards Bay; from there it turns southwest toward Cape Cod Canal where it meets that waterway's southern shore just east of Sagamore Bridge at . According to the United States Census Bureau, East Sandwich has a total area of , all land except for some marshland along its coastlines which are part of Nantucket Sound or Cape Cod Canal respectively (the latter being an arm off Massachusetts' South Coast).
