About City of Baltimore
Baltimore is the traditional home of national sports teams in baseball, football, basketball and hockey. The National Football League's Baltimore Ravens were established in 1996 after former Cleveland Browns owner Art Modell relocated to the city following decades of controversy over his attempt to relocate the team from Cleveland. In addition, Major League Baseball's Baltimore Orioles have called downtown Baltimore home since 1954 when they moved from St. Louis; they formerly played at Memorial Stadium until 1993 when Oriole Park at Camden Yards opened across town on April 6 (coincidentally on Opening Day).
