Norwalk is a city in Warren County, with some small portions extending into Polk County, in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 12,799 at the time of the 2020 census. The city is part of the Des Moines–West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area and is located just south of the Des Moines International Airport.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , all of it land. The city is drained by Beaver Creek and Rock Creek which both flow into the Des Moines River in Iowa City downstream from Norwalk's confluence with them just north of downtown Norwalk near where U.S Highway 6 crosses over Beaver Creek on its way to Iowa City and Interstate 80/U.
