About Cobb County
The county government is led by a five-member Board of Commissioners, whose members serve concurrent four-year terms. A county manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the county and its departments. The current chairman of the Board of Commissioners is Mike Boyce; he was elected to his first term in November 2010.[2]The Cumberland District includes an extensive commercial area along I‑75 adjacent to Atlanta's airport in north Cobb County.[3][4] In addition, according to Forbes magazine, Cobb County ranks as having one of the top 10 most educated workforces among U.S. counties.
