The Village of Key Biscayne is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 6,715 at the 2010 census. It is located south of Miami and east of Miami Beach on an island that shares the same name as the village. The Village operates its own police department, fire department and water utility service; it has its own post office (ZIP code 33149) with ZIP code 33149 assigned to both Key Biscayne proper and Virginia Gardens (a neighborhood within unincorporated mainland Monroe County). Key Colony Beach is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida along the Atlantic Ocean between Delray Beach to its north and Boynton Beach to its south across Lake Worth Inlet. As of 2017 it had an estimated population around 2200 people according to U S Census estimates . Founded by Henry Flagler as "Colony", this small town was incorporated into West Palm beach but seceded after being denied access via ferry from West Palm's main land due their lack black residents .
