The Gainesville MSA was ranked as the No. 1 place to live in North America in the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best Places to Live Rankings, and it placed among the top 100 globally for cities with a population between 150,000 and 500,000 people (51st).Gainesville is home to several attractions including museums such as The University of Florida Museum of Natural History and Archaeology; The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts; The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory;The Bo Diddley Community Plaza & Park which houses an outdoor concert stage on its amphitheater lawn that has been used by many famous musicians over time including Bob Dylan who performed there May 2nd 2018 during his "Never Ending Tour";The Hippodrome State Theatre which hosts various plays throughout each year along with concerts from local bands or artists performing at this venue also located within downtown Gainesville is one block away from where I am staying at Hotel Indigo - Downtown/University Area ;and last but not least Lake Alice located just minutes away from my hotel room here in Downtown/University Area .
