About Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach was the site of a major space launch facility, now known as Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) maintains the John F. Kennedy Space Center there, as well as a Visitor Complex open to visitors from around the world. The city is also famous for its beaches and recreational activities such as fishing, surfing and scuba diving in its warm tropical climate year-round; it is home to many surfers including Kelly Slater who grew up on Cocoa Beach's main beach at Patrick Air Force Base where his father was stationed when he was born in 1972.[3] In 2018 CNN Money ranked Cocoa Beach #10 on their list of top earning towns in America with an average household income of $112K[4].
