About Mountain View
The city is also home to a number of well-known technology museums, including the Computer History Museum and the NASA Ames Research Center. Mountain View is located at 37°32′17″N 122°9′23″W / 37.52772, -122.09867 in Santa Clara County, California on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay opposite San Jose across from Moffett Field where it adjoins Sunnyvale and Palo Alto (collectively known as Silicon Valley). The population was 82,035 at the 2010 census; however, due to a major annexation by neighboring Sunnyvale in 2014 its official population grew to 84 ,317 .
