La Cañada Flintridge, commonly known simply as La Cañada (Spanish for 'The Canyon'), is a city in the foothills of the  Verdugo Mountains in Los Angeles County, California. Located in the Crescenta Valley, in the western edge of Southern California's San Gabriel Valley. It is the home of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.




La Cañada Flintridge is located at the western end of the San Gabriel Valley and adjacent to Pasadena, Altadena and Glendale. The city's population was 10,917 at the 2010 census.
The city is known for its large homes with yards that face Mount Wilson directly to the south across La Cañada Verdugo Road (CA-2). It has a ZIP Code of 91011 and area codes 626/818.
