About Eastvale

The city was incorporated on October 1, 2010. The former mayor of the city is Richard Stewart. Eastvale has been a rapidly growing area in recent years, with new housing developments and major retail centers opening up along its borders every year since 2000. In 2006 Eastvale's development as a major retail center began when Wal-Mart opened up one of its supercenters in the northern part of town near Interstate 15 (the location had previously been occupied by an Albertsons). A second supercenter was later built directly across from it by Target which also opened up several other stores within the same complex including Home Depot and Kohl's among others; this made Eastvale one of Riverside County's largest shopping areas outside Ontario Mills Mall located just to the west in neighboring Chino Hills.
