The Hot Springs, Arkansas metropolitan area is a metropolitan statistical area (MSA) in the U.S. state of Arkansas that covers two counties: Garland and Saline. As of the 2010 census, the MSA had a population of 82,837 (though a July 1, 2012 estimate placed the population at 81,943). The racial makeup of the MSA was 75.7% White non-Hispanic; 10% African American; 0.5% Native American or Alaska Native; 2% Asian Indian; 0%, other Asian groups alone or in combination with one another and 3%, some other race alone or in combination with one another including individuals who identified as being Hispanic were 7%.
