About Litchfield Park
Litchfield Park is located in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Litchfield Park was founded by George Warren Brown, a real estate developer from Maine who also developed nearby Sun City, Arizona. The city incorporated in 1960 and became an affluent bedroom community for people working at the adjacent Luke Air Force Base (formerly Williams Air Force Base). It has been one of the fastest growing cities in Arizona since 2000.[citation needed] Litchfield Park is home to two major golf courses: Wekiva Island Golf Club and Legend Trail Golf Club.
