About San Pedro del Pinatar

The town is located on the Costa Cálida, a Mediterranean coastline known for its beaches and mild climate. The municipality has an area of 21.9 square kilometres (8.5 sq mi) and borders with Alicante province to the north, Orihuela to the east and south-east, Lorca to the south-west and Mazarrón to west. It also shares a short border with San José del Valle in Murcia's region of El Carche; this border runs along part of La Manga del Mar Menor which separates both municipalities from each other as well as from Cartagena city in Alicante province across it on its southern shoreline.[1] San Pedro is one hour away by car or train from Murcia capital city where international airport lies 30 minutes away by car or taxi/bus/train .
