Allahabad Junction is a railway station in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is the main railway station serving Allahabad and its suburbs like Phulpur & Naini which are part of Allahabad district and also serves Prayagraj (Prayag) which was formerly known by its name "Allabahad". The main line passing through this junction connects Howrah-Delhi Grand Chord route via Lucknow-Kanpur Central Line with Mumbai - Chennai Central Main Line via Kanpur - Vindhyachal route. There are two other lines connecting it to Jhansi on North East Railway line and another branch from Mughal Sarai Junction on South East Railway line towards Gorakhpur/Gonda/Muzaffarnagar etc.
