Gurdaspur is located at . It has an average elevation of 227 metres (745 feet). The city lies on the banks of the Beas River, and is surrounded by three rivers: Beas, Ravi and Suketi Khad. The confluence of these three rivers is known as "Sangam". Gurdaspur shares its border with Pathankot to the north-east, Dinanagar to south-west and Hoshiarpur district in south.
