About Malegaon

Malegaon is located at 20°16′N 73°10′E / 20.27°N 73.17°E / 20.27; 73.17.[1] It has an average elevation of 544 metres (1,783 feet). Malegaon lies on the bank of Man River which flows from east to west in this region and meets Bhima river near Paithan town in Aurangabad district after covering a distance of about 300 km from its origin point near Nasik city . The climate is generally dry except during the monsoon season when it rains heavily for almost three months, starting June till September with heavy showers every afternoon and evening followed by cool nights due to its high altitude location compared to other cities/towns around it like Nashik ,Dindori ,Aurangabad etc.. The temperature ranges between 45 °C (113 °F) during summer days and 10 °C (50 °F) during winter nights .
