About Aurangabad division
Aurangabad division is the largest division in Maharashtra state. It consists of Aurangabad, Jalna, Parbhani and Hingoli districts. The headquarters of the division are located at Aurangabad city.[1] The Divisional Commissioner is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer belonging to the Maharashtra Cadre who holds office during "good behaviour". He is assisted by a number of officers belonging to different wings such as engineering, revenue and forest divisions.
