About Kangra
It is a town in the foothills of the Himalayas, located on a plateau at an elevation of 1,829 m (5,906 ft). It has been selected as one of hundred Indian cities to be developed as a smart city under PM Narendra Modi's flagship Smart Cities Mission. Kangra Fort: Kangra Fort was built by Raja Anand Pal Tomar in 965 AD and later it was extended by successive rulers. The fort is situated on top of Trikuta Hill which rises above sea level and overlooks the old walled town from its northern end.
