Faridabad is located at . It has an average elevation of 214 metres (702 feet). Faridabad lies on the southern bank of the Yamuna River, which flows from west to east. The river separates it from Bahadurgarh and Badkhal in Uttar Pradesh. To its south lie Ghaziabad and Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district (Mohindergarh), while to its north lies Ballabgarh, Palwal and Gurgaon districts. The city spreads mainly on two parallel main roads: MG Road running east-west between Delhi-Agra Road near Ambala Cantonment railway station in the west and Rajiv Chowk in Old Faridabad area near Delhi border with Haryana State Highway 10 towards Agra; NH2 runs through old Fariddhaba area connecting all major cities like Panipat, Karnal etc.
