Dahod has a tropical wet and dry climate (Köppen "Aw"). Summers are long, from early April to mid-October, with monsoon rains from late June to early October. Temperatures rise until late May, which is very hot with highs around 40 °C (104 °F) and lows around 30 °C (86 °F). The monsoon starts in late June or early July. It is not very rainy here compared to other parts of Gujarat state during the months of July–September; however it does rain almost every day during this period. From October onwards temperatures cool down considerably due to the onset of winter winds blowing in off the desert region towards Delhi; although daytime temperatures still hover between 25–30 °C but nights can get quite cold at times with lows near 10 °C . Winter lasts through December & January when temperature can drop below freezing point on some nights but rarely goes below 7 degrees Celsius(45 Fahrenheit).
