The Gandhinagar region includes Gandhi nagar colony area which was developed by late Sri Peddireddy Narayana Reddy garu in early 1960s for residential purposes to accommodate employees working at his factory located near to it on NH-16 highway towards Nandyal.(Peddireddypally). This colony houses many government offices like RDO Office etc.
