About Gaggenau

Gaggenau is located in the Upper Rhine Plain, on both banks of the river Murg. The town centre lies at an elevation of about 200 m above sea level (NN). The highest point within town limits is the "Hohberg" ("Hohe Berg", 468 m), a hill located just north of Gaggenau's municipal area and rising some 100 metres above it. The following cities and towns share borders with Gaggenau (clockwise beginning from north): Rastatt, Baden-Baden, Lahr/Schwarzwaldbahn railway station in Weil am Rhein across river Rhine; Hüfingen; Offenburg; Lörrach.
