About Bordeaux
Bordeaux is the world's major wine industry capital. It is home to the world's main wine fair, Vinexpo, and hosts every year a number of other trade shows such as Vinisud (wine industry), BIO-Innovations (organic products) or BioMedTech (biotechnology). The historic center of Bordeaux consists largely of old medieval and Renaissance buildings that were built during the city's heyday in the 12th century. In 2016 it was inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List as "an outstanding urban and architectural ensemble" for its history, quality of life and contributions to human civilization.
