Saint-Fiacre (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ fjakʁ] (listen)) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France.
It is named after Saint Fiacre who built a hospice for travelers at the end of the 6th century in what is now Saint-Fiacre, Seine-et-Marne. He is still revered as the patron saint of Saint-Fiacre.


Saint-Fiacre is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region. The town lies on the edge of an area that was once covered by forest and swamp, but which has now been drained to form fertile farmland. It is located some 45 km (28 miles) east of Paris, near Fontainebleau and Melun.
The village's population stood at 524 people as of 2006; its inhabitants are called "Saint Fiacrois".
