The city is famous for its cathedral, the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Troyes, which dates from the 12th to 16th centuries. The site was added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 1981. Other well-known sites are: Troyes has a small airport named Aéroport de Troyes – Bretagne (AAT), located north of the city and connected by buses to major destinations in France such as Paris or Lyon. It takes less than an hour by car from Troyes railway station on Paris RER line D; there are also trains every two hours on SNCF lines between Gare d'Austerlitz and Vendôme via Chaumont/Semur-en-Auxois (with connections at Chaumont with TGV services).
