The city is served by a commuter rail line operated by the Réseau de transport métropolitain (RTM) and has been since April 2007. It was previously served by AMT's Deux-Montagnes Line from 1982 to 2006, which ran on CN tracks. The RTM also operates bus service in the city and its suburbs; it runs several local routes as well as longer distance services to Montreal, Saint-Jérôme, Mirabel International Airport and other communities in southwestern Quebec. Deux-Montagnes is home to École secondaire du Chêne Vert (Secondary School of Green Oak), one of two Francophone high schools serving students from both Deux Montagnes itself and neighbouring municipalities such as Sainte-Adèle.[1] There are three elementary schools: École des Sentiers Bleus (Blue Trails Elementary School),[2] École La Vérendrye,[3]and École Le Carrefour.
