About Owen Sound

Owen Sound is home to the Grey County Fair, which takes place annually in July. The fair features a midway with rides and games, live entertainment on multiple stages, agricultural competitions such as livestock shows and horse shows (including barrel racing), food vendors selling local produce and craftsmen selling their wares. In addition to the main attractions of the fair there are also many events for children including petting zoos, pony rides etc., as well as numerous contests: baking contests; arts & crafts; photography contest; sewing contest etc.; all judged by experts from around Ontario. There is also an annual parade through downtown Owen Sound that kicks off at noon on Canada Day (July 1).
