About Fonthill

The community is home to the Fonthill Kinsmen Park, a popular destination for families and nature lovers. The park features a large playground, an outdoor swimming pool during summer months (May–September), tennis courts, baseball diamonds and soccer pitches. A new skateboard park was added in 2007. There are also two public beaches on Lake Ontario: one at the end of Lakeshore Road South (off Highway 20) which has lifeguards during the summer months; and another beach located near Stoney Creek Beach Road off of Highway 20 that does not have lifeguards but is supervised by members from local clubs such as Kiwanis Club of Pelham Bay-Fonthill or Rotary Club Of Pelham-Fonthill who organize events throughout each year including family barbecues with games such as volleyball or badminton tournaments held there every August long weekend since 1985 .
