The city is home to the Brockville Rowing Club, one of Ontario's oldest rowing clubs. The club was founded in 1867 and has been on Lake Ontario near downtown at the foot of King Street ever since. It is also home to a regional YMCA which serves Leeds and Grenville County, as well as members from surrounding counties such as Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry (SDG), Prescott-Russell (PR) and Eastern Algonquin Nation Tribal Council (EANT). Brockville also has an Army Cadet Corps that parades weekly at 19 Princess Street in Brockville with about 100 cadets ranging from ages 12–18 years old. This unit provides opportunities for youth aged 12–18 years old interested in learning more about military training, discipline & leadership skills while earning their red sash after completing all requirements set out by Cadet Command Headquarters located at Canadian Forces Base Borden Camp Borden ON L9L 1K6 .
