About Camberwell

Camberwell has two state primary schools, Camberwell Primary School and Riversdale Primary School. It also has one Catholic primary school, St Mary's Primary School. There are no secondary schools in Camberwell; however there is a campus of the Australian International Academy on Burke Road (formerly known as "Hawthorn East Secondary College"), which offers both VCE and VCAL courses. The nearest government secondary colleges are Boroondara College in Hawthorn East or Glen Waverley Secondary College in Glen Waverley to the north-west of Camberwell's boundaries. There is also a private boys' school, Carey Baptist Grammar School at Kew to the south-east of its boundary with South Yarra/Prahran/Windsor; while Melbourne Girls' Grammar lies just outside its eastern boundary with Canterbury Road at Toorak Village Shopping Centre near Warrigal Road).
